Electrical Technician Job Description

Are you an electrical professional looking to take your career to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Technician to join our team at Randstad. As an Electrical Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret diagrams and blueprints to identify electrical systems and components
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using various tools
  • Splice wires together using knives or pliers, twisting or soldering wires and applying tape or terminal caps
  • Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools
  • Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels, and fasten in place with screws or bolts
  • Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads
  • Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components using a multimeter
  • Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
  • Load, transport, and unload material, tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Maintain tools and equipment
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance or installation
  • Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled environment
  • Manual lifting up to 50lbs
  • Standing for 10 hours at one time
  • Working up to 5 hours of overtime per week
