Position:

Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulates and oversees the annual innovation strategy while leading the Chameleon US innovation team.
  • Conducts an annual market analysis involving client and key customer feedback, which may include healthcare professional surveys and direct interviews with significant pharmaceutical partners. The goal is to identify emerging trends in medical communications and compile a comprehensive report that outlines findings and actionable insights for Chameleon.
  • Generates strategic recommendations for new offerings based on the aforementioned data, industry trends, and observational insights.
  • Collaborates with HCG teams to create external thought leadership initiatives.
  • Assists the new business development lead in crafting pitches and proposals as necessary.
  • Mentors and trains the Chameleon US team to enhance their skills in preparing, presenting, and securing new business opportunities.
  • Participates in relevant pharmaceutical industry conferences to gain insights into the business landscape, potential growth avenues, and future trends.
  • Occasionally attends pertinent medical congresses to identify new business prospects, initiate relationships with key stakeholders, and stay informed about advancements in critical therapeutic areas.

Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Neuroscience, Biology, or a related biosciences discipline with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role or as a medical director in a medical communications agency; or a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Biology, or a related field with at least 1 year of experience in the same capacity.


Required Experience:
  • Proven leadership in strategy formulation, content development, and execution of tactics across various therapeutic domains for multiple accounts.
  • Experience in supporting clients from both Medical Affairs and Marketing departments, leveraging expertise in medical communications strategy, tactics, publication planning, and industry trends.
  • Demonstrated success in a senior scientific director role across at least three of the following therapeutic areas: hematology/oncology, neurology, rare diseases, rheumatology, infectious diseases/vaccines, immunology, cardiovascular diseases, or internal medicine.
  • Experience leading business pitches with cross-functional teams that generated significant new business revenue.
  • Ability to proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities while developing and proposing innovative strategies to existing pharmaceutical clients.

Compensation:
$180,000 annually. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.
