About the Position

We are seeking compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team at the Children's Recovery Center in Norman, Oklahoma. Our center provides community crisis stabilization and residential treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health and trauma-related conditions.

Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide technical direct and indirect nursing care to individuals, including collecting temperatures, pulses, respirations, and blood pressure, as well as performing other technical nursing chores while providing health care to patients and others. You will work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and be responsible for providing care in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, as well as the facility's and ODMHSAS's mission, values, policies, and professional standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical direct and indirect nursing care to individuals
  • Collect temperatures, pulses, respirations, and blood pressure
  • Perform other technical nursing chores
  • Work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing
  • Provide care in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse and meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds. You must also be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and have a valid driver's license.
