The Physical Therapy Technician plays a vital role in supporting our therapists and patients. As a key member of our team, you will assist in providing a high-quality treatment experience, ensuring patients receive the necessary support to reach their recovery objectives.
Responsibilities- Assist therapists in providing a welcoming and comforting environment for patients.
- Display exceptional customer service skills and provide encouragement to patients.
- Follow the plan of care established for each patient by the therapist.
- Assist with non-clinical tasks and support patients in achieving their therapy goals.
- Educate patients on equipment usage, ensuring safe and correct application.
- Assist patients with light exercises and strengthening techniques.
- Apply therapeutic modalities, such as heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation, as directed by therapists.
- Provide assistance with patient mobility, using proper techniques to ensure safety.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, physicians, and staff members.
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with patients and colleagues.
- Ensure treatment areas are clean, organized, and sanitized.
- Comply with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to therapists.
- No required education or experience necessary.
- Excellent listening and verbal communication skills required.
- Ideal candidate will be pursuing a physical therapist or other healthcare degree.
