Job Summary

The Physical Therapy Technician plays a vital role in supporting our therapists and patients. As a key member of our team, you will assist in providing a high-quality treatment experience, ensuring patients receive the necessary support to reach their recovery objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Assist therapists in preparing patients for treatment, promoting a welcoming and comforting environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, offering encouragement and support to patients as needed.
  • Follow established plans of care, ensuring patients receive the best possible treatment.
  • Assist with non-clinical tasks, accommodating patients' needs and supporting their success in therapy.
  • Educate patients on equipment usage, ensuring safe and correct application.
  • Assist patients with light exercises and strengthening techniques.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities, such as heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation, as directed.
  • Provide assistance with patient mobility, using proper techniques to ensure safety.
  • Maintain open communication with patients, physicians, and staff, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with patients and colleagues.
  • Ensure treatment areas are clean, organized, and sanitized.
  • Comply with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Monitor patient progress, recording observations and reporting to therapists as needed.
Requirements
  • No specific education or experience required.
  • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills essential.
  • Pursuing a physical therapist or other healthcare degree is ideal.
