Job Summary

The Physical Therapy Technician plays a vital role in supporting our therapists and patients. As a key member of our team, you will assist in providing a high-quality treatment experience, ensuring patients receive the necessary support to reach their recovery objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Assist therapists in providing a welcoming and comforting environment for patients.
  • Display exceptional customer service skills and provide encouragement to patients.
  • Follow the plan of care established for each patient by the therapist.
  • Assist with non-clinical tasks and support patients in achieving their therapy goals.
  • Educate patients on equipment usage, ensuring safe and correct application.
  • Assist patients with light exercises and strengthening techniques.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities, such as heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation, as directed by therapists.
  • Provide assistance with patient mobility, using proper techniques to ensure safety.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, physicians, and staff members.
  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with patients and colleagues.
  • Ensure treatment areas are clean, organized, and sanitized.
  • Comply with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes to therapists.
Requirements
  • No required education or experience necessary.
  • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ideal candidate will be pursuing a physical therapist or other healthcare degree.
