About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network/System Engineer II to join our team at Jacobs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service support to our US ARMY INSCOM customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, operate, and troubleshoot networks, including CISCO routers and switches, Dell PCs, Sun Servers, Juniper routers, and In-Line Encryption (INE) devices.
  • Provide software support for network security appliances and other related network hardware.
  • Collaborate with government, military, and contractor personnel to ensure seamless communication and execution of tasks.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in network configuration, operation, and troubleshooting.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • IAT-2 certification (GSEC, Security + CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) or equivalent.
Work Environment

As a Network/System Engineer II, you will work in a large facility with a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You may be required to travel with the military to participate in exercises in austere conditions.

Physical Requirements
  • Sitting at a desk for extended periods, using a computer, phone, and other office equipment.
  • Lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs.
Equipment and Machines
  • General office equipment, including telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
  • May require operating motor vehicles.
Attendance and Travel
  • Regular attendance and flexibility to work any shift/designated hours required.
  • Continental and overseas travel may be required.
Other Essential Functions
  • Employment is contingent upon obtaining all required certifications within the specified timeframe and maintaining them throughout the contract.
  • Must exhibit professional behavior, teamwork, and effective communication skills.
