Description: Overall Purpose:

The Industrial Engineer is a key problem solver who applies industrial engineering principles and tools to enhance manufacturing, engineering, and service operations.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Utilizes engineering methodologies (e.g., methods analysis, time standards, mathematical modeling, simulation, and statistical analysis) to identify production bottlenecks and inefficiencies, facilitating the development of optimal process designs and resource utilization.
  • Analyzes operational capability, capacity, throughput, workflow, and logistics (e.g., critical path analysis, product lead time, material transportation, PFMEA, and factory layout design) to assist in the design of improved value streams.
  • Develops models and spreadsheets for data analysis (e.g., operations research and statistical analysis) and provides summaries of findings and metrics to internal stakeholders.
  • Researches, designs, develops, enhances, and implements processes to improve schedule performance, reduce costs, and elevate quality through the application of industrial engineering concepts.
  • Applies lean and six sigma principles (e.g., design of experiments, value stream mapping, and 5S) to mitigate quality issues, eliminate waste, and decrease overall manufacturing time.
  • Engages with employees to analyze processes and gather data for improvements, which may involve observing and documenting processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effectively communicates improvement solutions using a data-driven approach.
  • Demonstrates a solid technical foundation, project management capabilities, leadership initiative, and exceptional communication skills.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures, including attendance, punctuality, and safety standards.

Other Duties:

Provides support for project completion or other responsibilities as required by the Process Improvement Department. Management reserves the right to modify work assignments and make reasonable accommodations as necessary.


Position Requirements: Qualification Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  • Technical education and experience to apply industrial engineering principles with a high level of competency to address a variety of technical challenges.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Proficient in CREO CAD software for factory layout design.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Able to work under general supervision with basic instructions.
  • Fluent in English (reading, speaking, writing, and understanding).
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers to handle, type or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally, the employee may be required to stand or walk.


Work Environment:

This role involves working in a warehouse and office setting. The position is subject to U.S. export control regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
