Safety incidents, near misses, and concerns across various healthcare facilities are documented in a comprehensive reporting system that allows safety specialists to evaluate occurrences, identify root causes, and generate actionable knowledge to mitigate risks.

Team Insights

  • The Quality Intelligence and Program Metrics team operates within the Quality & Safety sector.
  • This team spearheads OKRs for the Quality & Safety domain, providing governance and stewardship for data, metrics, and analytical tools while driving a data-centric transformation.
  • Our specialists excel in data quality assurance, database management, pharmacy and health informatics, quality measurement methodologies, statistics, improvement science, and data visualization, delivering actionable insights to our domain.
Key Responsibilities
  • Enhancing data collection forms, maintaining data dictionaries, mapping values, and advising on improvements to the data collection process.
  • Conducting data quality assurance by identifying gaps in classification hierarchies, structuring data collection forms, and addressing missing values.
  • Participating in weekly scrums and collaborating with patient safety coaches to analyze incidents, perform root cause analysis, and devise effective strategies for event reporting.
  • Serving as the measure steward for the quality and safety domain, ensuring standardization, justification, and validation of metrics and KPIs sourced from multiple databases.
  • Advising on the development of advanced analytical tools, constructing data mart environments, and creating self-service analytics platforms, as well as presenting data through statistical visualization and storytelling.
Qualifications
  • A commitment to making a meaningful impact by providing actionable insights and enhancing patient outcomes.
  • Extensive expertise in data methodologies and measurement within the healthcare quality and safety sector.
  • Strong teamwork abilities, contributing to OKRs and collaborating as a lead advisor and expert in advancing data-driven capabilities.
  • Proficiency in data fluency and literacy, with a solid understanding of database engineering and statistics, capable of translating complex concepts to peers and external stakeholders.
