Job Summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team as a Senior Network Administrator. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in network administration, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Administration: Responsible for the administration of classified and unclassified systems and networks in accordance with applicable MDA and DoD guidance.
  • IT Systems Management: Ensures IT systems and networks are fully functional for all operational and support activities.
  • Cybersecurity: Provides technical advice in relation to IT processes and operations based on applicable MDA and DoD security provisions, technical guidance, and documented instructions.
  • Cloud Computing: Responsible for establishing and maintaining user accounts, profiles, privileges, and overall network and system security, including Azure/AWS Cloud design, support, and implementation.
  • Incident Response: Anticipates IT-related issues and implements proactive preventive measures.
  • Documentation: Develops, sustains, and updates documentation for Information Technology processes and procedures.
  • System Backups: Performs regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries.
  • Database Management: Maintains IT databases and performs programming tasks in relation to system administration.
  • Technology Research: Researches, evaluates, and recommends new and emerging IT systems technologies to advance and support MDDC Program requirements.
  • Team Support: Supports the work of other staff engaged in system and network administration functions.
  • Network Integration: Supports the integration and testing of complex large-scale networks.
  • Hardware Recommendations: Researches and recommends new hardware for implementation into the existing network.
  • Active Directory: Provides Systems Administrative functions in a multi-tiered Windows Active Directory Environment.
  • SCCM Support: Provides support of SCCM for software installations, inventories, and patching.
  • STIG Compliance: STIG Compliance and implementation.
Requirements
  • Cybersecurity Knowledge: Understanding of network administration tools, techniques, and methods.
  • Operating System Expertise: Proficient in Windows 10 Operating System and Windows Server 2012R2/2016/2019/2022.
  • Active Directory Support: Proficient in the support of Windows Active Directory, Windows Group Policy, STIG evaluation and implementations, and SCCM.
  • Cloud Computing Expertise: Proficient in the support of cloud-based servers and resources (Azure and AWS).
  • Networking Fundamentals: Fundamental knowledge in networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP).
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to work with minimal oversight and possess abilities to communicate effectively through all levels within the organization working closely with project leads and other team members.
  • Clearance Requirements: Position is 100% on-site. No telework is available. Must be a US Citizen and have/maintain a government-issued Secret Clearance.
  • Certifications: Must possess and maintain a CompTIA Security+ CE Certification. AWS or Azure Cloud Certifications.
Education/Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: At least 11 years of relevant work experience.
  • Clearance: Secret Clearance.
