Position: Project Coordinator in Sustainable Construction

Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Coordinator within our dynamic construction team, you will play a crucial role in developing project proposals, assisting the management team with budget tracking, overseeing activity schedules, and monitoring on-site subcontractors. You will ensure adherence to quality standards and provide support to the Project and Program Managers. Your role will involve collaborating with technical and administrative staff on a diverse range of complex projects across the country.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting all specifications
  • Overseeing the implementation of comprehensive Energy Conservation Measures
  • Reviewing and managing contracts and subcontractors
  • Monitoring project financials and reporting to the Project Manager
  • Developing and maintaining design schedules for project approval
  • Addressing field-related inquiries with the technical design team
  • Participating in design review meetings, documenting minutes, and tracking action items
  • Coordinating project deliverables with all stakeholders
  • Building and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Ensuring subcontractor compliance with safety regulations and standards
  • Reviewing monitoring and verification plans, commissioning protocols, and post-implementation operations & maintenance protocols
  • Assisting with business development efforts during project execution

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, we are looking for a motivated individual with a strong desire to manage sustainability projects effectively.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in construction project management or project engineering; a technical degree may substitute for experience.

  • OSHA-30 certification is a plus

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This position requires the ability to operate tools and equipment in the field, navigate ladders and stairs, and move safely around construction sites. Effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members is essential, as is the ability to observe various equipment in the field. Occasionally, the role may require lifting and transporting items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Work will primarily take place at construction sites, where employees may encounter moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and varying weather conditions. Personal protective equipment and safety training will be provided.
