Position Overview

The HVAC Parts Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in the distribution of parts and accessories to both new and existing clientele. This position requires a keen understanding of customer requirements, offering knowledgeable guidance on HVAC components, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through proficient sales practices and service.

Sales and Client Relations:

  • Assess and comprehend customer requirements, recommending appropriate HVAC components and accessories.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving challenges, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
  • Foster and sustain robust relationships with clients to promote repeat transactions.

Product Expertise:

  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of HVAC components and accessories.
  • Stay updated on emerging products, industry developments, and competitor offerings.
  • Offer technical support and expert recommendations to clients regarding HVAC solutions.

Sales Initiatives:

  • Implement sales initiatives to meet individual and collective sales objectives.
  • Identify new sales prospects and potential clientele.
  • Engage in sales discussions and contribute to the formulation of sales strategies.

Order Management:

  • Accurately and efficiently process customer orders.
  • Collaborate with inventory and logistics teams to ensure prompt delivery of products.
  • Manage returns and exchanges in line with company protocols.

Market Analysis:

  • Conduct market analysis to uncover potential clients and sales opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor actions and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Provide insights to management regarding market conditions, customer preferences, and product demand.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Keep precise records of customer interactions, sales activities, and inventory levels.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and updates for management review.
  • Utilize CRM software to manage customer data and sales activities.
  • Engage in additional projects or tasks to support ongoing business operations.

Nature & Scope:

  • Utilizes practical knowledge typically gained through advanced education and relevant work experience.
  • Encouraged to pursue continuous improvement.
  • Handles a variety of primarily straightforward tasks.
  • Operates independently with general oversight.
  • Encounters challenges that are difficult but generally not complex.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and standard MS Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Capable of drafting routine reports and correspondence. Effective communication skills for addressing groups of customers or colleagues.
  • Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Capable of addressing problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and aftermarket components.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Parts Sales.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.

Compensation Range: $60,000 - $62,000
