Position Overview
The Technical Sales Consultant role is integral to the Visa Acceptance Solutions (Cybersource) North America team. This distinguished position within the sales division requires a rare combination of sales expertise and technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
As a vital contributor to the success of the Indirect (Partner) Sales organization, the primary duties include:
- Conducting technical discovery discussions.
- Delivering proof of value presentations.
- Performing in-depth technical product explorations.
- Showcasing API-driven demonstrations.
- Creating technical architecture illustrations.
- Documenting best practices and detailed solution requirements.
- Providing pre-sales support in a partner-focused environment.
This role also necessitates collaboration with various internal departments, including Indirect Sales & Account Management, Product & Solution Management, Solution Architects, Implementation Support, Client Services, and Marketing to relay market insights and industry trends.
Travel Requirements
Moderate travel may be necessary for attending sales meetings, conferences, partner events, and internal training sessions.
Essential Duties
In this role, you will:
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Visa Acceptance / CyberSource (VAS) solutions and work with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in designing partners' payment ecosystems by aligning VAS solutions with their business and technical needs.
- Collaborate with the Indirect Sales team to attract new partners and enhance offerings to existing partners.
- Effectively communicate how VAS solutions integrate within the partner ecosystem to fulfill customer requirements.
- Provide ongoing technical guidance throughout the sales process to facilitate opportunity closure.
- Support current VAS partners as their requirements evolve.
- Engage in internal knowledge-sharing sessions, client discovery calls, and meetings, documenting detailed notes from all interactions.
- Customize client presentations based on previous discussions, develop necessary architectural diagrams, and conduct both technical and non-technical proof of value demonstrations as needed.
- Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing open-source code within VS Code, accessing code from GitHub, executing REST APIs in Postman, and showcasing Webhook events via local or external Webhook listeners.
- Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all presentations, documents, activities, notes, emails, and calls are logged in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint in real-time.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Product Management, Product Development, Customer Support, and Product Marketing to communicate market feedback and contribute to the design of new solutions.
Additional Responsibilities
Further responsibilities include:
- Being responsive and accessible through all communication channels during business hours.
- Assisting in the completion of RFI/RFP requests as required.
- Leading quarterly internal product training sessions for sales and internal teams.
- Participating as a subject matter expert in industry conferences, tradeshows, summits, and partner events.
