Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our Neurotrauma team. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a critical role in the management and care of patients with neurotrauma conditions, working collaboratively with neurosurgeons, medical staff, and multidisciplinary teams across multiple care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including evaluation and treatment of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Obtain comprehensive histories and physicals, coordinate diagnostic imaging and laboratory testing, and prescribe medications as needed.
- Ensure continuity of patient care by coordinating communication among inpatient, OR, and outpatient Neurosurgery teams.
- Participate in service-related quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Contribute to the education and training of learners, including residents, fellows, students, and new employees.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Master's degree in nursing or a related field, or a Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- At least three years of experience in a related field, with additional experience preferred.
- Active licensure and certification in Ohio, with prescriptive authority.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions in complex situations.
