Akerman User Support Technician Job Description

Founded in 1920, Akerman is a leading law firm with over 700 lawyers across 25 offices in the United States.

We are seeking a skilled User Support Technician to join our National Information Technology Department. This role will provide remote support and guidance to end-users on our computer and telephone systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for firm users via remote support
  • Monitor support queues and identify trends in malfunctions and errors
  • Assist with testing and rolling out new software, including Microsoft Office 365

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Strong verbal communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer and software troubleshooting abilities

This position works in a fast-paced team environment and requires exceptional customer service and the ability to work independently while managing time and tasks productively.

The hours for this role are 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with flexibility for after-hours support in the evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualified candidates must possess strong IT skills with a focus on Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10, and LAN technology. Proficiency with printers, smartphones, tablets, and general software application support is also required.
