This position involves assembling generator sets and sub-assemblies, including standard and non-standard product lines. The successful candidate will use hand and power tools, following quality and procedural techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Read, interpret, and implement mechanical instructions, drawings, and schematics to perform assembly duties on Line 1 HPR Units.
  2. Cross-train in multiple assembly and mechanical areas, and assist in other areas as needed.
  3. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the products assembled and stay up-to-date with the principles, practices, and processes of the job.
  4. Identify and address defective or damaged parts, incorrect sizes, faulty workmanship, and general quality issues.
  5. Ensure adherence to safety and environmental procedures, established processes, and policies.
  6. Contribute to continuous improvement opportunities within the department.
  7. Promote a compliance culture and embody the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
  8. Perform special projects as required.
Requirements
  1. 3 years of mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools and equipment.
  2. Basic problem-solving skills and ability to handle various concrete variables.
  3. Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.
  4. Deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  6. Quality and detail orientation, with basic organizational skills.
  7. Ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
  8. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  9. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs frequently.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma or GED.
Work Environment

This role is performed in a durable goods manufacturing environment. The employee is frequently required to walk, and occasionally to stand, sit, use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, parts, or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, or talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The employee may be exposed to various elements, but none to the extent of being disagreeable.
