Maintenance Technician Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. This role requires strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on complex manufacturing equipment
  • Assemble and install mechanical and electrical machines
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment continues to run smoothly
  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
  • Inspect and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions
  • Follow all established safety, health, and quality policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Postsecondary education/training preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of practical experience in an equivalent role or related field
  • Strong electrical aptitude and experience working with complex equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multilevel project-based environment
  • Must be able to use a personal computer and lift up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:

This role is based in a manufacturing facility and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and facilities.
