As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and operating advanced imaging technology to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure patient safety and comfort during MRI procedures, adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining the exam process and ensuring their understanding.
- Position patients accurately and ensure their comfort throughout the exam.
- Perform MRI scans in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Administer intravenous contrast as required.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to patient exams.
- Record patient data accurately and efficiently.
- Provide and issue films/CDs as necessary.
- Forward data and films/CDs to radiologists for review.
- Assist clerical staff as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring equipment and rooms are properly cleaned and re-supplied.
- Adhere to all necessary training and licensing requirements.
- Previous experience in MRI scanning is essential.
- MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications are required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
- Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
- Some inpatient locations may require participation in a call schedule/rotation.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
