Key Responsibilities- Train, develop, and evaluate subordinate colleagues to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their jobs effectively.
- Provide leadership and direction to team members, setting clear goals and expectations and ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed.
- Monitor production operations to ensure product quality and production efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Supervise all activities, personnel, equipment, and production, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor change over and/or line set up efficiency, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Prepare line set-ups for following shifts, including first piece buyoffs, to ensure smooth production operations.
- Interface with Production Scheduling to determine schedules for shift production and ensure schedule is met.
- Monitor plant housekeeping and maintain standards, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- Maintain outside areas of plant and outside storage areas, ensuring they are clean and organized.
- Enforce all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality, and productivity.
- Monitor and report all production documentation, including setup documentation, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor production process for Continuous Improvement (CI) in both efficiency and quality, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Interface with Human Resources on all policy and discipline issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Address colleagues' concerns and use people skills to resolve issues, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Communicate with all on priority of special assignments or any issues needed, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Monitor and maintain all safety equipment, Webasto-owned equipment, and tools, including tips, sandpaper, etc.
- College degree in Management, Business, or Technical field preferred.
- 2-4 years previous supervisory experience in an automotive/manufacturing environment.
- Excellent people skills required, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers.
- Ability and willingness to work long hours as necessary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
