Part-Time Lecturer Positions

The Department of Adult Nursing at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth invites applications for part-time lecturer positions at the undergraduate and graduate level. These positions are available for clinical and didactic assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in course-based continuous quality improvement/assessment per college processes
  • Be committed to rapid pedagogical and other academic process changes as driven by environmental conditions

Undergraduate Level Teaching:

Opportunities primarily include clinical agency, clinical skills laboratory, and/or simulation instruction in the pre-licensure and accelerated BS Adult Health clinical courses. Didactic teaching opportunities are periodically available.

Requirements:

  • Preferred applicants for clinical education assignments will have a Master's Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited program, recent clinical practice experience, and clinical education experience in higher education or a healthcare institution with a focus on Adult Health or Medical-Surgical Nursing
  • Applicants with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and at least 5 years of current clinical practice experience or enrollment in a Nursing graduate program will be considered for clinical teaching
  • Applicants for didactic assignments will have a graduate degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited program and recent relevant practice experience with a focus on Adult Health or Medical-Surgical Nursing
  • Preferred applicants will have teaching experience in higher education or a healthcare institution

Graduate Level Teaching:

Applicants will have the appropriate level graduate degree in nursing from a regionally accredited program, as required for the teaching assignment. Applicants will have teaching experience in higher education or a healthcare institution and recent practice experience relevant to the teaching assignment.

Additional Requirements:

  • All applicants will have an active RN license in Massachusetts or eligibility for RN licensure in MA
