Department of Adult Nursing

Part-Time Lecturer Positions

The Department of Adult Nursing invites applications for part-time lecturer positions at the undergraduate and graduate level. Positions are available for clinical and didactic assignments. Part-time faculty are expected to engage in course-based continuous quality improvement/assessment per college processes and be committed to rapid pedagogical and other academic process changes as driven by environmental conditions.

Undergraduate Level Teaching:

Opportunities primarily include clinical agency, clinical skills laboratory, and/or simulation instruction in the pre-licensure and accelerated BS Adult Health clinical courses. Didactic teaching opportunities are periodically available.

Requirements:

Preferred applicants for clinical education assignments will have a Master's Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited program, recent clinical practice experience, and clinical education experience in higher education or a healthcare institution with a focus on Adult Health or Medical-Surgical Nursing. Applicants with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and at least 5 years of current clinical practice experience or enrollment in a Nursing graduate program will be considered for clinical teaching.

Applicants for didactic assignments will have a graduate degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited program and recent relevant practice experience with a focus on Adult Health or Medical-Surgical Nursing. Preferred applicants will have teaching experience in higher education or a healthcare institution.

Graduate Level Teaching:

Applicants will have the appropriate level graduate degree in nursing from a regionally accredited program, as required for the teaching assignment. Applicants will have teaching experience in higher education or a healthcare institution and recent practice experience relevant to the teaching assignment.

Additional Requirements:

All applicants will have an active RN license in Massachusetts or eligibility for RN licensure in MA.
