Job Summary

We are seeking highly qualified part-time faculty members to join our team at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at UMass Dartmouth. As a part-time lecturer, you will have the opportunity to teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in adult nursing, including clinical and didactic assignments.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in adult nursing, including clinical and didactic assignments
  • Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi and lesson plans
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to improve teaching and learning
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have a Master's degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited program, recent clinical practice experience, and clinical education experience in higher education or a healthcare institution with a focus on Adult Health or Medical-Surgical Nursing. Applicants with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and at least 5 years of current clinical practice experience or enrollment in a Nursing graduate program will also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience in higher education or a healthcare institution
  • Recent relevant practice experience with a focus on Adult Health or Medical-Surgical Nursing
