Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Protection and Control Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing substation protection and control systems for electric utilities at various voltage levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop substation protection and control projects, including relay one-line design, three-line AC schematic design, and DC protection schematic design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet client requirements and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design criteria, bill of materials, and quality control checks.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to clients and internal teams on substation protection and control systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in substation protection and control technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in substation protection and control design and/or field testing/commissioning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools, such as SDS AutoCAD Electrical, and data management systems, like Bentley ProjectWise.
