Radiology Associates of Daytona is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical activities associated with screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Position patients for exams, calculate exposure factors, and assist physicians as needed.
- Perform quality control functions related to mammography, evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality, and obtain additional images as necessary.
- Prepare and set up medical supplies using aseptic techniques, explain procedures to patients, and provide orientation to new Mammography Technologists.
- Assist in maintenance and compilation of statistical data, demonstrate proficiency in performing all breast imaging procedures, and perform other related duties incidental to the work.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
- Minimum of two years' experience in radiologic imaging modalities, with one year of Mammography experience preferred.
- Experience with tomosynthesis and stereotactic biopsies preferred.
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R)) and Mammography (M) preferred.
