Job Summary
Ascension St. Vincent's is seeking a skilled Mammographer Technologist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography imaging services to our patients.
Responsibilities
Provide mammography imaging services to patients
Operate equipment and perform various mammography-related procedures
Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately
Explain procedures and educate patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health
Develop and evaluate film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion
Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS
Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Florida license requirements not applicable to associates working in Georgia. One or more of the following required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Radiologic Technologist licensure required. Mammography registry preferred.
Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
