Job Overview

Be a key contributor to the growth and success of Komatsu's Surface Loading Business Unit. We are seeking a highly skilled individual to take on the role of Mining Commercial Manager. This pivotal position will have you overseeing the pricing, orders, and sales contracts for our designated products and regions.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial aspects of OE Sales for assigned Surface Loading Tools and territories, including Electric Mining Shovels and Electric Wheel Loaders.
  • Provide price quotes for assigned products, requesting and maintaining margin approvals.
  • Maintain electronic quotation history files and any hard copies.
  • Manage significant contract approvals (SCA) and be responsible for the order status and fulfillment processes for appointed products and regions.
  • Prepare equipment sales offers in accordance with company sales guidelines, including initiating and following through on related supporting documentation.
  • Provide export control assistance to ensure compliance with US law and company policy.
  • Expedite receipt of and analyze sales order documentation submitted by distributors and subsidiaries, resolving discrepancies as needed.

Key Responsibilities (Continued)

  • Assist management with the monthly sales forecast preparation and make equipment build/purchase recommendations during the Sales & Operations Planning cycle.
  • Monitor equipment forecast data received from regional commercial managers, distributors, and subsidiaries, ensuring accurate and timely addition into Salesforce.
  • Maintain opportunities and status of open opportunities among all quoted prospects in Salesforce.
  • Perform reporting and analyses as required by the Commercial Director to achieve company goals and increase overall company profitability.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with 3-5 years of marketing and sales experience in a related industry (Mining, Construction, Contracts, Distribution, etc.).
  • Systems knowledge in Salesforce or SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively lead meetings.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with distributors and internal departments to achieve desired results.
  • General knowledge of Komatsu products and a comprehensive understanding of the overall mining industry.
  • Understanding of business risk in transactions and consequences of non-compliance.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
