Quoting Specialist

Job Summary:

The Quoting and Estimating Specialist - Distribution position at Turner Mining Group will be responsible for preparing accurate quotes and estimates for distributed products. This role will involve gathering necessary information, selecting the appropriate template or form, and establishing the scope of work. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing RFQs, maintaining product certifications, and seeking input from Legal as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate quotes and estimates for distributed products

Select the appropriate template or form based on available information

Establish the scope of work for each project

Manage RFQs from Sales, Business Development, Engineering, and Field Engineering teams

Maintain product certifications and knowledge of distributed products

Seek input from Legal as needed on terms and conditions

Manage the RFQ list in progress/queue

Request quotes from Shipping and Buyers as needed

Identify billing milestones

Execute customer requests or changes to existing POs

Manage the quoted waiting on approval list and follow up as needed

Gather data on criteria for quotes from internal team members

Address concerns promptly and professionally

Requirements:

At least 3-5 years of related experience

Experience with multi-product lines

Experience with Machining or Fabrication

Experience with electrical switch gears

Experience with distributed products

Strong communication and analytical skills

High attention to detail

Provide excellent customer service

Strong technical proficiency and in-depth knowledge of our products

Exposure to international markets and sales is beneficial

Experience with commodity indexes and cost drivers in the industry

Exposure to value propositions
