Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Manager of Social Marketing to spearhead our publishing initiatives for an exciting new AAA intellectual property. Reporting directly to the Director of Digital Marketing, you will be instrumental in shaping the social marketing strategy, overseeing its execution, and managing resources throughout the game's lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for gaming, coupled with extensive expertise in social marketing and community engagement.
Your responsibilities will include crafting and implementing tailored global social marketing strategies aimed at enhancing our visibility across social platforms, increasing cultural relevance for our brand, and fostering positive interactions within our player communities.
Strong collaboration and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively and navigate through complex situations.
Key Responsibilities
Social Marketing Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive social marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Act as the social marketing authority, working closely with cross-functional teams to align efforts and manage project timelines.
- Utilize audience insights to create impactful social marketing campaigns that resonate with target demographics.
- Establish metrics for social engagement and growth, providing regular analysis and reporting on performance and community sentiment.
- Guide creative brainstorming and content development to launch innovative campaigns.
- Work alongside various publishing partners (Brand Marketing, Community Management, Creator/Influencer Marketing, Product Management, Insights & Analytics) to define social marketing strategies.
- Lead and nurture the Social Marketing team, ensuring adequate resources for successful campaign execution.
- Engage with key stakeholders, presenting findings and recommendations that shape product and marketing strategies.
- 6-8+ years of proven experience as a leader in Global Social Marketing within live service gaming.
- Expertise in developing integrated social marketing strategies across multiple channels.
- In-depth understanding of community dynamics and social media platforms globally (including Twitch, YouTube, Discord, TikTok, Reddit).
- Proficient in social marketing tools and analytics, with a strong grasp of performance metrics.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of building lasting relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong presentation skills, able to convey strategic ideas effectively to various audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and lead cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.
- A decisive leader who can assess risks and make informed decisions promptly.
- Adaptability and the ability to pivot strategies as necessary.
- A keen eye for content that resonates with diverse gaming communities.
