About the Role

At Five Star Quality Care, Inc., we are seeking a Compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for providing support and assistance to residents with daily tasks, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal Hygiene and Mobility: Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, as well as repositioning them in bed and escorting them around the community.
  • Medication Management: Help residents with medication, including supervising and administering doses as needed.
  • Daily Living Assistance: Provide support with eating, drinking, and activities of daily living (ADLs), such as laundry and cleaning.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Maintain open communication with residents, families, and staff, providing emotional support and resolving any concerns or issues that may arise.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; minimum 18 years old, with relevant experience in caregiving or a related field.
  • Skillset: Strong emotional intelligence, listening skills, and dedication to the medical field, particularly working with seniors.
  • Background Checks and Certifications: Pass state and company background checks, as well as obtain necessary certifications and training.
Location and Compensation:

Leisure Park in Lakewood, NJ, offers a competitive salary of $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
