Key Responsibilities:


The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager with the daily operations of the store, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This includes overseeing staff, optimizing store profitability, and maintaining exceptional customer service and store presentation.


Primary Duties:
1. Complete daily accounting documentation and submit to the accounting office by noon.
2. Make daily bank deposits by noon.
3. Manage daily ATM and Lottery funds, ensuring accurate deposits where applicable.
4. Maintain precise fuel inventory records and report any significant discrepancies.
5. Recruit, train, motivate, and manage cashier/sales associate staff, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
6. Uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation within the store.
7. Order and receive merchandise according to inventory guidelines.
8. Conduct inventory audits regularly.
9. Maintain compliance documentation.
10. Ensure adequate fuel levels and coordinate deliveries.
11. Verify invoice costs for accuracy.
12. Operate the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
13. Implement company promotional strategies.
14. Guarantee a quality shopping experience for all customers.
15. Control inventory discrepancies to 1% of sales or less.
16. Manage cash over/short to $100 per month or less.
17. Audit cashier documentation for accuracy.
18. Maintain company image standards and conduct image surveys.
19. Report and address all environmental and maintenance issues to the appropriate authorities and management.
20. Maintain price book and manage security systems where applicable.
21. Communicate effectively with associates and guests.
22. Accurately complete required paperwork.
23. Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions.
24. Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Ability to work independently.
3. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
4. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:
1. Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of 1 to 15 lbs.
2. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.
3. Reach above shoulder height and bend below the waist.
4. Access all areas of the store freely.
5. Move quickly around the store.
