Job Overview

The Application Security Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and implementing application security tools and capabilities to mitigate threats and vulnerabilities. This position enables a secure SDLC by contributing to the development of the BDD security testing framework, writing new security test cases, and driving adoption of the framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and build web and mobile BDD security testing frameworks
  • Continuously build new security test cases
  • Develop web applications and REST APIs in support of application security infrastructure
  • Assist in timely vulnerability remediation of security capabilities
  • Improve security tools and processes with a focus on self-service, automation, performance, and scalability
Requirements
  • 2+ years of application development, testing, and implementation experience in an agile environment
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A go-getter attitude
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Preferred security certifications, such as CISSP or SANS GIAC
