The Application Security Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and implementing application security tools and capabilities to mitigate threats and vulnerabilities. This position enables a secure SDLC by contributing to the development of the BDD security testing framework, writing new security test cases, and driving adoption of the framework.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and build web and mobile BDD security testing frameworks
- Continuously build new security test cases
- Develop web applications and REST APIs in support of application security infrastructure
- Assist in timely vulnerability remediation of security capabilities
- Improve security tools and processes with a focus on self-service, automation, performance, and scalability
- 2+ years of application development, testing, and implementation experience in an agile environment
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- A go-getter attitude
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field
- Preferred security certifications, such as CISSP or SANS GIAC
