Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Aide to join our progressive, supportive, and innovative team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for assisting therapists with patient care, maintaining treatment equipment, and ensuring a safe and clean working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist therapists with recording exercises, preparing treatment areas, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Prepare heat and ice packs, paraffin dips, and assist patients with transfers to exercise equipment.
  • Operate treatment equipment, complete routine maintenance, and troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Educate patients on proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
  • Welcome patients, provide comfort, and prepare them for therapy sessions.
  • Answer patient questions, alleviate fears, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Deliver and position equipment for therapist access and ensure patient safety.
  • Prep treatment rooms according to protocols, answer phone calls, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage inventory, check stock levels, order supplies, and verify receipts.
  • Provide front desk support, including scheduling, answering calls, and handling administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Ability to commute 15-20 minutes from your home office.
  • Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology, equipment used in therapy, patient behavior, and strengthening techniques.
  • Ability to successfully complete in-service training, observe patient conditions, and record reactions.
  • Maintain appropriate attitude, conduct, and professionalism in patient interactions.
  • Create and maintain accurate records, write brief reports, and communicate effectively.

Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and seek assistance when needed. Additionally, they must be able to assist or find accommodations for disabled individuals to ensure access to our services.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive compensation package, opportunities for growth, and a supportive work environment.
