ERM LLC is seeking a dedicated Managing Consultant specializing in Environmental and Biodiversity sectors to enhance our operations.

As a Managing Consultant, you will leverage your leadership, client engagement, and technical expertise to facilitate the successful execution of projects within our organization.

Our diverse clientele allows you to engage in projects that span the entire project life-cycle. You will collaborate closely across various service areas, gaining exposure to multiple industries and working alongside our global teams to deliver exemplary consulting and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Project Completion Statements (PCS), and Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with international best practices and local regulations.
  • Review and refine technical reports, translating complex data into clear, concise English documentation.
  • Collaborate with teams to draft proposals and identify new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, lenders, and stakeholders to secure approvals for EIA and ESIA projects.
  • Act as Project Manager for projects of varying sizes, overseeing all aspects of project management including task delegation, subcontractor oversight, health and safety compliance, and client interactions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of deliverables, taking on roles from project manager to lead technical expert and quality reviewer.
  • Engage in report writing, data collection, survey fieldwork, literature reviews, and the formulation of client recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively with ERM's global practitioners to ensure project execution aligns with best practices.
  • Mentor junior consulting staff to foster their professional development.
  • Lead proposal development efforts, including crafting technical scopes and cost estimates.
  • Enhance and maintain client relationships to support ongoing and new business initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in environmental consultancy, with a focus on biodiversity and social aspects.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A solid understanding of Singapore's EIA and PCS processes, with knowledge of international ESIA being advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Excel, particularly in data manipulation.
  • The ability to manage complex, interdisciplinary projects effectively.
  • Experience in developing team members' skills and fostering client relationships.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with relevant tools.
  • The capacity to handle multiple tasks, maintain flexibility, and work independently.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to Health and Safety standards.
