Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Project Compliance Statements (PCS), and Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) for diverse projects, ensuring adherence to international best practices and local regulations.
- Review and refine technical reports, translating complex data into clear, concise English documentation.
- Collaborate with teams to draft proposals and identify new business opportunities.
- Engage with local authorities, lenders, and stakeholders to secure approvals for EIA/ESIA projects.
- Act as Project Manager for projects of varying sizes, overseeing all aspects of project management including task delegation, subcontractor oversight, health and safety compliance, and client interactions.
- Contribute to the preparation of deliverables, taking on roles from project manager to lead technical expert and quality reviewer.
- Expected project activities include report writing, organizing data collection and field surveys, conducting literature reviews, and formulating recommendations for clients.
- Work collaboratively with ERM practitioners worldwide to execute projects effectively.
- Mentor junior consulting staff to enhance their professional development.
- Lead proposal development efforts, including crafting technical scopes and cost estimates.
- Foster and maintain client relationships to encourage repeat business and new opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 6-10 years of experience in environmental consultancy, with a focus on biodiversity and social aspects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
- Strong understanding of Singapore's EIA/PCS processes; knowledge of international ESIA practices is advantageous.
- Proficient in Excel, particularly in data manipulation.
- Ability to manage complex, interdisciplinary projects effectively.
- Experience in developing junior staff and enhancing business and client engagement skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and systematic thinking abilities.
- Extensive project management experience with proficiency in relevant tools.
- Capacity to handle multiple tasks, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Adept at thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with a collaborative spirit.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a strong commitment to Health & Safety standards.
