Overview:
The Operations teams at Shopee oversee the complete operational workflow, from the initial product search by the buyer on the Shopee platform to the final delivery of the products. This team is responsible for analyzing and monitoring operational KPIs across the region and conducting thorough root cause analyses when performance dips occur. The Operations team encompasses various functions including Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations, and Fraud.

Job Summary:
The Shopee Regional Logistics team is dedicated to delivering the most efficient e-commerce logistics experience to our users while maintaining cost-effectiveness. We are looking for a seasoned Infrastructure & Automation Project Manager with a solid history of managing substantial projects to join our vibrant team.

The Capex Project Manager will be crucial in carefully planning, executing, and overseeing Capex projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and fulfillment of stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Investment Evaluation and Financial Assessment:
    Thoroughly assess potential Capex investments, including automation, warehouse expansion, greenfield projects, and other strategic initiatives. Perform in-depth financial analyses, including ROI calculations, cost-benefit assessments, and sensitivity analyses to facilitate informed decision-making.
  2. Project Planning and Implementation:
    Spearhead the comprehensive project management process for infrastructure and automation investments, segmenting projects into manageable phases, defining essential deliverables and milestones, and crafting detailed project plans.
  3. Project Oversight:
    Set clear project milestones and performance metrics, and implement effective tracking systems to monitor progress against established timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  4. Risk Mitigation:
    Identify potential risks and challenges linked to Capex projects, and devise proactive strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  5. Vendor and Stakeholder Engagement:
    Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and other external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Anticipate bottlenecks and issues in vendor interactions and implement solutions to ensure milestones are achieved. Effectively resolve challenges while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    Maintain precise project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports, providing regular updates to stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP certification is preferred.
Experience in transportation, warehousing, and real estate is advantageous, with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities and dynamics within these sectors.
Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, with a strong focus on breaking down intricate projects into milestones and key deliverables while managing vendor relationships.
A strong sense of ownership with a demonstrated ability to be hands-on and navigate implementation challenges.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Willingness to travel as required.
