Job Overview - Project Finance Associate

We are seeking a skilled Associate in Project Finance to enhance our projects practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both domestic and international project financing.

Position Highlights

The successful candidate will be fluent in Spanish and will have substantial experience in project finance. You will be expected to demonstrate strong legal acumen and a desire to continuously expand your knowledge across various industries.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating financing documents, including credit facilities and security agreements.
  • Negotiating project development, construction, and joint venture agreements.
  • Providing legal counsel on joint ventures and strategic transactions.
  • Managing cross-functional deal teams and processes.
  • Conducting due diligence and legal research as needed.
  • Serving as the primary contact for clients and other legal teams.
  • Mentoring junior team members and participating in professional development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in project finance.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required; knowledge of Portuguese or French is advantageous.
  • Strong academic credentials and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively under pressure.
