Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate financing documentation, including credit facilities and security agreements.
  • Handle procurement, project development, construction, and joint venture agreements.
  • Advise clients on joint ventures and strategic transactions in relevant industries.
  • Oversee deal teams and processes across different practice areas and locations.
  • Address legal challenges in heavily regulated sectors.
  • Conduct due diligence and manage research tasks as needed.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients and opposing counsel.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in all communications.
  • Support senior lawyers in daily legal service provision.
  • Mentor junior team members and participate in educational and client development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in project finance.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required; proficiency in Portuguese or French is advantageous.
  • Strong academic background and a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Admitted to practice in Washington D.C.
  • Commercial awareness and excellent negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional time management abilities and composure under pressure.
  • Proficient drafting skills and a client-focused mindset.
