Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Food Runner/Expo to join our team at Anacostia - Busboys and Poets. As a Food Runner/Expo, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with line cooks and servers to ensure seamless food delivery
  • Expedite food and maintain high standards of presentation and quality
  • Carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from the expo line to customers
  • Serve food to customers and assist servers as needed
  • Locate items requested by customers and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Perform serving, cleaning, or stocking duties to facilitate customer service
  • Maintain adequate supplies of items such as silverware, condiments, and cleaning materials
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and hospitality skills
  • Availability to work weekends and a minimum of 3 shifts per week
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus
