Key Responsibilities:


• Uphold the core values and philosophy of the organization in all interactions with patients and staff.

• Engage in continuous professional development and education to enhance skills.

• Ensure quality control and compliance with all regulatory standards including CAP, JCAHO, and OSHA.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are readily available.

• Execute all phlebotomy duties, including but not limited to, specimen collection and preparation for laboratory analysis.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless experience.

• Utilize laboratory information systems for accurate documentation and tracking of specimens.

• Participate in additional tasks as required, including inventory management and cross-training.

Qualifications:

A. Education and Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Completion of a recognized Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant program is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and proficiency in data entry are essential.

B. Experience

  • A minimum of one year of experience in phlebotomy is preferred.

C. Certifications

  • Certification from a nationally accredited program is preferred.

Work Schedule:

Varied shifts may be required.
