Job Description

Georgia Home Health Services is seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team on a PRN basis. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients in their homes, covering Lowndes, Brooks, Echols, Cook, Lanier, and Berrien counties.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement personalized plans of care to improve patients' communication skills.
  • Administer speech therapy programs using specialized techniques and equipment.
  • Recommend communication devices and aids as necessary.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in case conferences, in-services, and other meetings to ensure coordinated care.
  • Prepare and submit detailed notes according to organizational policies.
  • Maintain clinical competency in speech-language pathology practice and theory.
  • Identify patients' and families' needs for other services and refer as necessary.
  • Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on treatment regimens as indicated.
  • May supervise home health aides in procedures related to speech-language therapy plans of care.
Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP).
  • Current licensure as a speech-language pathologist or successful completion of an approved national examination in SLP.
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience in speech-language pathology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Current CPR certification.
