Job Title: Corporate Travel Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Travel Manager to join our team at Russell Tobin. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a best-in-class travel program for our health care professional consultants and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel Program Development: Assess current travel program and implement changes that align with our strategic goals and priorities for the Medical Surgical business.
  • Policy Development: Participate in the development and drafting of HCP travel rules (policy) for individual HCP and Group HCP travel in collaboration with Global Travel & Expense, Sourcing, Legal, and Health Care Compliance with a focus on process optimization.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiates travel contracts with air, rail, hotel, and ground transportation service requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Leads implementation of new processes and procedures as well as changes.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Monitors service levels, compliance with policy, and vendor alignment with terms of agreement with Sourcing to drive accountability.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Establishes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting criteria to monitor HCP travel and general industry trends, customer satisfaction, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Driving the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction for the business.
  • Internal and External Communication: Manages internal and external customer satisfaction, addressing disputes and problems to find appropriate solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implements measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Policy Enforcement: Monitors internal compliance with HCP travel policy. Drafts effective internal messages and tools to communicate useful information to key stakeholders.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provides subject matter expertise to contribute to outcomes.
  • Process Optimization: Adds value by identifying continuous process improvement opportunities and implementing efficient and effective solutions.
  • Vendor Selection: Participates in future vendor selection process when going out to bid for HCP travel services (defining HCP travel requirements, preparing the RFP, provider bid comparisons, vendor selection, contract review).

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Experience: 3 years of experience managing a corporate travel program in the Life Sciences industry (Pharmaceutical, Medical Device)
  • Skills: Ability to effectively communicate in English (oral and written) with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers. Strong understanding of business travel industry and corporate travel operations. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, etc. and travel management technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5 years of experience managing a corporate travel program
  • Cultural Competence: Experience with managing travel across multiple geographies and cultures
  • Language Skills: Fluent bilingual oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Health Care Compliance: Knowledge of and experience with Health Care Compliance practices pertaining to interactions with health care professionals (HCPs)
  • Event Management Technology: Familiarity with Cvent event management technology
