We are seeking an experienced Surgical Oncology Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a PRN. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing cancer treatment.

As a Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for:

  • Performing patient assessments and developing a plan of care
  • Implementing and evaluating care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Administering medications and completing treatments according to hospital policy
  • Delegating work appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice
  • Providing education materials to patients and families on care and treatments

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a related area as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Experience in an acute care setting is preferred
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • A current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Course
