Job SummaryThe Surgical Oncology Clinical Nurse Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring efficient throughput and high-quality care for patients undergoing surgical oncology procedures.
This position is responsible for assisting with admission and discharge processes, participating in ongoing quality assessment, collaborating with subject matter experts, and supporting a patient-first philosophy.
The ideal candidate will have advanced cardiac life support certification, basic cardiac life support certification, and a registered nurse license. An associate degree in nursing is required.
What You'll Do- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
