Job Summary:

As a Certified Surgical First Assistant at Penn State Health, you will play a vital role in the operating room team, providing direct patient care and assisting the operating surgeon. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in surgical technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the operating surgeon in providing direct patient care
• Maintain hemostasis and manipulate tissues with surgical instrumentation
• Work collaboratively with the operating room team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures

Requirements:

• Associates Degree required
• NBSTSA CST Certification required
• BLS Certification required
• Three (3) years relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• NBSTSA CSFA Certification preferred
