Job Title: Surgical First Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Surgical First Assistant to join our team at Penn State Health. As a Surgical First Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care as part of the operating room team. Your expertise will be essential in assisting the operating surgeon with wound exposure, maintaining hemostasis, and manipulating tissues with surgical instrumentation.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the operating surgeon with surgical procedures
- Provide direct patient care as part of the operating room team
- Maintain hemostasis and manipulate tissues with surgical instrumentation

Requirements:

- Associates Degree required
- NBSTSA CST Certification required
- BLS Certification required
- Three (3) years relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

- NBSTSA CSFA Certification preferred
