Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roadside Assistance Technician to join our team at The Auto Club Group. As a key member of our Emergency Roadside Assistance team, you will provide exceptional service to our members, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.

  • Operate a service truck or tow truck to assist members, employees, and other motorists.
  • Utilize GPS and maps to locate member breakdown locations.
  • Service vehicles by performing functions such as providing fuel, testing and replacing batteries, performing jumpstarts, providing lockout service, and changing/inflating flat tires.
  • Arrange for or tow member's vehicle when the vehicle cannot be started or is unsafe to drive.
  • Ensure 100% member satisfaction by providing excellent customer service.
About the Role

As a Roadside Assistance Technician, you will be responsible for providing roadside service to AAA members, working primarily out of office and frequently exposed to road hazards and temperature extremes. You will spend less than 5% of your time in a temperature-controlled office environment.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license with minimal driving infractions/incidents.
  • Experience using tablets or electronic devices to update calls, review policies, and document safety records.
  • Exhibit strong customer service skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with customers and understand the need to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Prior experience servicing vehicles, such as providing fuel, testing and replacing batteries, performing jumpstarts, providing lockout service, and changing/inflating flat tires.
  • Prior tow truck driver or roadside service experience.
