About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Relief Mental Health Worker to join our Adult Mental Health Services/Bridges Crisis Unit team in Lansing, Michigan. As a Relief Worker, you will provide a supportive atmosphere for consumers, respond to emergency situations, and monitor program activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis intervention and support to consumers in a short-term crisis intervention program.
- Assist clinicians and interact with consumers in a group setting.
- Problem-solve crisis situations and intervene with consumers individually and in group settings.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure environment.
- Prepare meals for up to 16 residents.
Requirements:
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of experience working with persons with emotional impairments.
- Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing.
- Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and access to reliable transportation for job-related use.
Conditional Employment Requirements:
- Employment offers will be contingent upon the results of a criminal background check, physical exam, and verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record.
- Must be able to pass a physical exam annually and a pre-employment drug screen.
Salary and Hours:
$19.62 per hour. 0-38 hours per week, hours are NOT guaranteed. Relief position – filling in for regular staff. Shifts include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Adult Mental Health Services/Bridges Crisis Unit, Lansing, Michigan.
