About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ETL Lead to join our Corporate Finance Technology function at New York Life Insurance Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end ETL solutions and enhancements for various initiatives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with our company's vision and strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Data Modelers to review business requirements, understand business processes, and design complex ETL mappings and packages.
  • Design, code, test, correct, and document complex programs and scripts using agreed standards and tools.
  • Oversee team activities related to coding, unit testing, system testing, and resolving defects.
  • Investigate production data issues and provide workarounds or fixes.
  • Lead the design and implementation of ETL processes for our Finance Technology ETL platform.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in Data Warehousing, with a strong background in ETL/ELT frameworks.
  • Strong development experience with DataStage, with a focus on complex SQL and PL/SQL queries.
  • 9+ years of experience in creating Data Lineage documents, Source to Target Mapping documents, and Low-Level Technical Specification Documents.
  • 6+ years of experience in DataStage 8.7 or higher and DataStage Parallel Job Design.
  • Hands-on development mentality, with a willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
