Senior Accountant Job Overview

Vaco is working with a leading financial institution that seeks a skilled Senior Accountant to fill a key role in their accounting and finance team due to growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP and experience with Fiserv Prologue and Premier Navigator, with at least 2 years of accounting experience. Banking, regulatory, or SEC reporting expertise will be a plus but is not required.

This is a hands-on role involving extensive reconciliation preparation, journal entry preparation, and other general accounting duties as needed. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for external and internal auditors, assist with the internal control program, and prepare SEC and FDIC filings and reports.

Responsibilities will also include preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements, reviewing prepaids, accruals, and fixed assets, as well as preparing board and management quarterly and monthly reports.
