Job Title: Substance Abuse Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Therapist to join our team at Acadia Healthcare. As a Substance Abuse Therapist, you will provide individual and group therapy to patients struggling with substance abuse and dual diagnosis. You will also be responsible for developing and presenting didactic material, conducting family sessions, and providing crisis intervention as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group therapy to patients with substance abuse and dual diagnosis
  • Develop and present didactic material to patients
  • Conduct family sessions and document accordingly
  • Provide crisis intervention to patients as needed
  • Plan aftercare for assigned patients
  • Evaluate patient needs and determine if psychiatric referral is needed
  • Assist in training of new clinical staff and interns
  • Complete mandatory Essential Learning courses

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Health or related field
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience with substance abuse and dual diagnosis population
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) preferred
